In this class, we'll use the ocean (shells and coral) as our inspiration and I'll walk you through 5 ways to capture your subject matter: pencil, pen, colored pencils, watercolors and markers! This course includes everything from basic drawing skills to tips and tricks working with mixed-media.
With 10 step-by-step lessons and more than 3 hours of video instruction, this class will keep you busy creating and inspire you to take what you've learned and apply it in all your work!
After 5 lessons creating with a variety of media, we'll take what we've learned to create 5 unique, funky works of art! You'll learn new processes and techniques, and be immersed in a SEA full of inspiration and creativity.
Included in this class is a FREE bag of shells and coral, collected from my favorite beach in Boca Raton, Florida. This bag includes a mix of shells, coral, and limpets in various sizes. Most shells are whole and some are beautifully broken. Each bag is a unique collection you can use to inspire your work. There are approximately 30-35 shells in each bag. **Whole spiral shells such as conch, olive, tulip, etc. are harder for me to come by. Each bag will have two of these "special" shells. If you do not have a vast collection of your own shells, check out etsy. You can find a wide variety of them for pretty good prices.**

My goal as an instructor is to teach you to let loose and drop the fear of messing up.
We'll get messy. We'll experiment. We'll play.
