A found a great way to memorize scripture - paint it! And create art that shouts it. And get messy with paint while studying it. Surround yourself with it… if art is your hobby, why not use it to deepen your faith?
God’s word is such a treasure - I mean, hello, God is speaking to us! That’s kind of incredible. And the more I can be around it, the better off I am. So combining my art journaling with Bible study has been so rewarding - I’ve been really digging deeper into God’s word, and I’ll be honest, I need visuals for me to want to look back at what I’ve been studying and learning - so keeping this crazy messy art journal, full of funky florals, collage, watercolor, acrylic, you know, all the supplies - helps me memorize scripture, and document what I’ve been learning along the way. And then want to look back through the pages again and again.
